Amy Webb takes great pride in making each event special.
“My son got married this past weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia at King Family Vineyards, with the Rehearsal Dinner at The Farmington Country Club. All of our floral arrangements were created by Blue Ridge Floral Designs
of Afton, Virginia. I have never seen a more magnificent display of flowers
at any wedding before. The blend of colors and kinds of flowers was
incredible and the displays were gorgeous. I did not meet with Amy
face to face,
but trusted in her knowledge of the venues to make the right choices for me.
I was right to trust her as the floral arrangements were perfect and we
even used the ones from the Rehearsal Dinner for a brunch on Sunday. I would
highly recommend using Blue Ridge Floral Designs for any event in the
future.”
Judy Ascue, Mother of the Groom
“Amy Webb is such a pleasure to work with! She has done arrangements for a wide variety of events at Monticello and they are consistently stunning. She is able to incorporate a touch of Jeffersonian inspiration in much of her work, such as using bases inspired by Jefferson cups, which our guests always admire. Amy’s high quality work reflects her passion for creating lovely arrangements—she truly goes the extra mile, making slight adjustments to her arrangements on site in order to fully realize her vision. We highly recommend Blue Ridge Floral Design without hesitation.”
Holly Bleck, Asst. Event Planner
Monticello
“Thank you soooo much for all of your hard work on our wedding. The
flowers were beautiful, the ceremony flowers, our bouquets and
boutonnieres were perfect. I unfortunately did not get a chance to
even see the cocktail hour but I am sure they were beautiful too. The
welcome piece and the center pieces were amazing. They were everything
that I had envisioned. Thank you so much for working with us, and
meeting us so many times throughout this planning process.
Everyone loved the flowers, and thought the berry's were so cool. My
mom tried to take as many centerpieces as she could and I know she is
going to do something to preserve them because she loved them so much.
I have to say that my favorite touch was the little what I call
"Button Flowers". I am sorry I don't know the real name, but they have
always been my favorite flower and I was soooo happy when I saw them
in the arrangements. When ever my mom would take me flower shopping
when I was a kid she said that I could pick something out that I could
plant, and I always picked those if they had them. It just brought
back some great memories for me to see them all throughout the wedding
arrangements.
Everything was beautiful, and the moss was a huge hit. It was
definitely unlike anything I had ever seen before and that was exactly
what I was going for. Next time we need flowers for any occasion I
will definitely give you a call.
Thank you so much!!”

“Amy - I want to say that I particularly liked the bridal bouquet which
I thought with its soft colors complemented Susanne's dress so well
and the bridesmaids' bouquets were very appropriate with the dresses.
I loved the door decoration, the urns, table decorations—everything
was perfect—lots of compliments from guests. You are very talented
and I am glad your business is thriving.

“After speaking with several florists in the Charlottesville area about my daughter's wedding, I chose Blue Ridge For al Design. I'm glad I did. Like many mothers of the bride, I was, of course, anxious about whether the flowers would live up to my expectations, especially since I live almost a thousand miles from Charlottesville. As soon as I entered the UVa Chapel for the wedding, I was overwhelmed with the outstanding arrangements and bouquets Amy provided. The flowers were white tulips, irises, lilacs, tinted purple roses and sweet peas. Immediately after the ceremony, Blue Ridge discreetly and efficiently, moved the arrangements to the Ivy Inn for the reception, transforming it into a gorgeous spring garden. With minimal opportunity for oversight by me, Blue Ridge delivered what I wanted and more than I expected at a reasonable budget. I would recommend them without reservation.”
Suzanne, Mother of the Bride

“I have used Blue Ridge Floral Design for all my flowers
at Wintergreen Resort for many years. Amy's florals are beautifully
prepared and compliment our natural environment. Her talent is
exceeded only by the beauty of the arrangements she creates.”
Lynn Tyler, Director of Food and Beverage

“Amy Webb is an artist! When I met with her for the first
time to discuss my vision for the flowers for our daughter's outdoor
wedding at a local winery, she was receptive to my ideas and full
of creative suggestions. She turned my rather vague concept into
a spectacular array of gorgeous flowers arranged in a unique way.
We decided on colorful wild flowers for the outdoor ceremony and
cocktail hour which Amy presented in unusual containers and settings.
She has an amazing eye for mixing various colors and varieties of
flowers and displaying them in a way that creates a unified look.
For the indoor reception, she used only white and green accented
with pale yellow to create a sophisticated and beautiful setting.
Our guests were taken aback by the splendor of the flowers and
even the male guests commented. Needless to say, we could not be
happier with the results that Amy achieved for our event and hold
her in the highest regard.”
Debbie Weigle, Mother of the Bride
“Amy's flowers for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding
were spectacular! The bride and groom, who were planning this wedding
from the west coast, asked me to find someone who would use flowers
native to the Blue Ridge and Central Virginia. The vibrant, colorful
spring flowers - peonies, irises, azaleas, branches of dogwood
- that graced the altar of the UVA chapel and the tables at the
reception were just gorgeous. The arrangements were extremely natural
looking; and, as requested, very Virginia! The Garden Club friends
of the Mother-of-the-Bride are still talking about them.”
Mary Gurr, Mother of the Groom
“We're back from the honeymoon and down to only a few handful
of boxes left to unpack in the new apartment. (That was a short
sentence to say sorry that I haven't written this yet!) You did
such an AMAZING job with the flowers for my wedding. I mean,
just hit the nail on the head! I know that my idea was sort of
off the wall and random, but I was SO pleased to see it in action
and it really did make the reception hall complete. I can't thank
you enough!!”
Laurel, Bride
“Now that the whirlwind after the wedding has settled
a bit, I wanted to write and say a big THANK YOU for the beautiful,
elegant, and unique job you did with the flowers on our wedding
day. The bouquets, boutonnieres, mothers' and grandmother's bouquets
were obviously made with a lot of care and attention to detail,
and they complemented the colors and feel for our wedding perfectly.
They were classic, simple, and modern - exactly what I wanted!
While everything was excellent, I think the real standout from
the wedding were the reception centerpieces. I felt like you
really shared my vision for what I wanted and executed it even
better than I could have imagined. It was exactly what I had
in my head only even more beautiful and striking. They were really
different from flowers I had seen before at other wedding receptions,
and everything looked fresh and beautiful. You picked flowers
that expertly complemented our color scheme of green and white,
and the design really popped on the tables. Most importantly,
you pulled all of this off efficiently and reliably - easing
in and out of the church and reception site setting everything
up exactly on time, and you were such a pleasure to work with.
From the very beginning you were always friendly, supportive,
and laid-back - not shy to bring up your suggestions (the idea
of putting the fireplace centerpiece on the breezeway table was
absolutely perfect) and always willing to really listen to my
ideas. I was really impressed with your work, and I will definitely
recommend you to other friends who get married in the area! I
wish you all the best in the future, and I hope our paths cross
again!”
